Data Manager

Data Managers are responsible for ensuring the accurate collection, validation, and entry of data to enable unbiased evaluation of research study outcomes. Clinical Research Data Managers work closely with data generated from medical appointments, hospital encounters, tests and procedures, patient-reported information, and instruments used to measure or collect health information. Data Managers interact with a variety of electronic systems and databases including electronic health records, clinical trial management systems, and study-specific databases and data capture systems.

The Data Manager role enables individuals to directly support medical innovation by ensuring accurate and timely collection and submission of data to the lead physician researcher (Pl) and company developing the medical product being tested in a clinical trial. Individuals with strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, familiarity with data, and strong problem-solving skills will thrive in these roles. Data Management roles often provide flexible work locations and sometimes flexible hours depending on the specific role and organization where you work.
