This event is focused on how to enhance patient and provider communication through the unique narratives and opinions shared by patients in a moderated discussion. The purpose of this event is to help sensitize our staff, nurses, advanced practice providers, residents, fellows, and faculty to the experiences of patients with chronic disease, specifically cancer, while also empowering University of Chicago Medicine care providers with the knowledge to better understand patient perspectives. We are excited to provide our clinical teams the opportunity to learn directly from patients, and look forward to seeing everyone at the event! Refreshments will be provided at the reception, so please RSVP in order to ensure proper arrangements can be made.
