Dr. Anna L. Zisman is a nationally recognized clinician-educator and Director of the University of Chicago Comprehensive Kidney Stone Center, which is one of the largest kidney stone prevention programs in the United States. She is dedicated to transforming kidney stone care through clinical innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and educational leadership. Dr. Zisman specializes in nephrolithiasis (kidney stone disease) and leads initiatives for rare conditions such as cystinuria, drawing patients from across the country for expert care. Her program is known for pioneering protocols, expanding telemedicine services, and advancing living kidney donor evaluations for those found to have kidney stones, resulting in improved outcomes for patients with complex kidney disease.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Zisman is an influential educator in nephrology and is the University of Chicago’s Nephrology Fellowship Program Director.
