Dr. Michael McCartin is an Emergency Medicine physician at UChicago Medicine and serves as Assistant Medical Director for the University of Chicago Aeromedical Network (UCAN). He completed medical school, Emergency Medicine Residency, and an Emergency Medical Services Fellowship at the University of Chicago. Dr. McCartin also serves as a Medical Team Manager for the Illinois Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue Team. Prior to his medical career, he served for over eight years as a U.S. Air Force Pararescueman. His areas of interest include flight medicine, critical care transport, urban search and rescue, and prehospital transfusion.
