Our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) comprise a diverse group of professionals, including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and certified nurse-midwives. We collaborate closely with our physician partners to provide comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role of our APPs involves caring for members of the University community and offering services related to health training, athletic health, behavioral health, and rehabilitation. We assist individuals facing personal challenges, disabilities, and serious health conditions.
A career as an Advanced Practice Provider, such as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, enables delivering high-quality, autonomous patient care. APPs assess, diagnose, treat, and manage both acute and chronic conditions, often performing roles similar to physicians. They operate in settings like hospitals, clinics, and specialty areas, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams. With advanced training, APPs significantly improve healthcare access, patient outcomes, and system efficiency, offering a dynamic and respected career path.
